To answer your question yes I have a 4600 and have had the plates replaced already for my backhoe. I had them replaced a month ago took 2 hrs. If you have some digging to do just go ahead and use it the way it is but they only asked that you check all your bolts on the exsisting plates to make sure they are tight. I used mine right up until I had the new ones installed, I was doing some serious digging as well with no problems. They were having trouble with bolts loosing up for some reason on the old style. Happy digging until they come is all I can say to you.

Your right the John Deere model 48 mount is specific for the tractor and after the 3 pt lifts the backhoe into position and pinned there is no weight on the
3pt at all. I have used it for a year now and I'm glad I went with the 48 hoe. I have it mounted on a 4600 and very please with both.

Has anyone heard anything about the recall on the mounting hardware for the madel 48 backhoe. The adapter plates may fail if the attaching hardware becomes loose. Has anyone had this problem and have they come up with a cure for it as of yet? Been waiting to hear from the dealer about it. Thanks Gary
